Sangría Recipe

Sangría is a wine punch popular during the summer months throughout Spain and Latin America. It normally consists of wine, chopped fruit, a sweetener and a touch of brandy. The following is a typical recipe:
Ingredients
- 1 bottle of red wine (light and dry variety)
- 1 lemon sliced
- 1 orange sliced
- 1 apple chopped
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 shot of brandy
- 2 cups of soda water or ginger ale
Method
Combine wine and fruit into a jug. Add sugar, brandy and soda. Mix together then chill.
Serve
Serve in glasses over ice and optionally decorate with sliced strawberries and mint leaves.
